Changing hydraulic attachments with the hydraulic Variolock coupling system is ever so easy and fast. The hydaulic coupling forms a unit with the Lehmatic quickcoupler: when picking up an attachment, the hydraulic circuits are connected at the same time as the quickhitch system is locked, easily and comfortably controlled from the cab.
The Variolock System The “Variolock” system consists of a valve block on the quickcoupler that is connected with the work hydraulics of the excavator, and of a valve block on the adapter of the attachment that is connected with the hydraulics of the tool. The special clamping of either valve block protects the system from forces acting on the quickcoupler and ensures a safe hydraulic connection at all times.
Valve Block on Quickcoupler
The quickcoupler valve block contains a total of 5 valves that are connected with the hammer/gripper lines of the excavator, for 2 large and 2 small hydraulic throughputs, for instance. In addition, the system also features a leak oil port.
Valve Block on Adapter – Adapted to the Attachment
The valve block on the adapter also contains up to 5 valves that form a plane surface with the surface of the block and that are adapted to the hydraulic functions of the attachment. For instance, attachments with
2 functions – tilt bucket, hammer
3 functions – compactor, milling unit, recycler
4 functions – gripper, shears, tongs
5 functions – compactor with rotation drive, etc.
